Day 338

Our first full day in Kyoto was full in every way: we had our normal orientation where we learned about the city and aaalll of the ways that we can unintentionally insult Japanese people (how does one issue a blanket apology to an entire country for all of the minor infractions one may commit over the course of a month? jw.), followed that with our first big Meraki family meal of the month which was packed with amazing food + people eating off each other’s plates + loud voices + laughing, and finished the day walking around + shopping downtown where we saw all kinds of holiday lights which rounded out a warm-and-fuzzy-feeling day.
