Christmas in Kyoto feels like Christmas at home, with the lights and the music playing in all of the stores and the cold, but without the creepy mall Santa’s, the treacherous driving conditions, snow in my shoes, and the pressure to buy buy buy…what I’m saying is, if I can’t be with family and friends from home, this is a pretty excellent second choice.
